Meal reservations MUST be made no later than 11:00 AM a day in advance.
A meal reservation is REQUIRED in advance, so the kitchen can prepare meals adequately.
What about FREE meals?
The Carpenter Center is an approved meal site for Social Services for Aged and Disabled Adults (SSAD) program.
If you are age 60 or older, blind and/or disabled, you may qualify for services. In order to be eligible for services through SSAD, an individual or married couple must meet certain qualifications, including resource and income requirements.

We need volunteers to help deliver meals Monday - Friday to people in our community who are homebound and who are not able to cook for themselves.
We deliver to the Scottsbluff/Gering area!
We begin our delivering route at 11:30 AM.
We provide HEALTHY & HOME-COOKED meals!
Volunteers can commit to a certain day or only help out when available.
All volunteers are MUCH appreciated and MUCH needed!

The Carpenter Center is a local nonprofit organization in Terrytown, around the Scottsbluff/Gering area of Nebraska! We work within the community to provide a multitude of programs to engage all ages in different activities. We offer much more than just programs. We have an on-site weight room, a standard-size gym, tumbling, indoor sports, after school care and more!

The mission of the Corporation is to establish “The Terry and Hazeldeane Carpenter Intergenerational Center as a recreational and educational facility, whose primary service area is Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, and its surrounding communities. The Center offers its programs primarily, but not exclusively, to families and elderly who lack the financial resources to access existing educational and recreational opportunities.”
The Carpenter Center was founded in 1996 and is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
