After School Club

 The Carpenter Center After School Club is a great way for children to make friends, stay active and obtain new skills! At the After School Club children will do activities ranging from a variety of athletics/sports, arts & crafts, physical exercise, games, & playing with friends! Snacks are provided as well!

 The After School Club strives to make a positive impact in a child's academics, school participation, social skills, and emotional development. The After School Club aims to provide a safe, friendly and open environment for children to be themselves.  

 The After School Club is offered via Monday – Friday (whether school is in session or not) from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. The cost is affordable at just $40 WEEKLY, that’s $8 daily! Financial aid (Scholarships - $20 weekly) are available as well! Punch cards are offered for $60 (non-scholarships) or $40 (scholarships) up to 10 visits that do NOT have to be consecutive and function as a “drop in basis”. At $60 for 10 visits, this works out to $6 daily and at $40 for 10 visits, this works out to $4 daily! 

 This is a great way to keep children active, social and entertained!

     The Carpenter Center is a local nonprofit organization in Terrytown, around the Scottsbluff/Gering area of Nebraska! We work within the community to provide a multitude of programs to engage all ages in different activities. We offer much more than just programs. We have an on-site weight room, a standard-size gym, tumbling, indoor sports, after school care and more! 


    The Carpenter Center is committed to strengthening and empowering children, individuals, families, and communities by providing accessible and affordable education and recreational opportunities with enhanced emphasis on ACTIVITY, WELLNESS, and INCLUSION.


    The mission of the Corporation is to establish “The Terry and Hazeldeane Carpenter Intergenerational Center as a recreational and educational facility, whose primary service area is Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, and its surrounding communities. The Center offers its programs primarily, but not exclusively, to families and elderly who lack the financial resources to access existing educational and recreational opportunities.”


    The Carpenter Center was founded in 1996 and is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
