I am the head coach for the Carpenter Center Trampoline and Tumbling program. Our program started in April of 2013, with only 65 kids and no fancy equipment, just old used mats. The program expanded and kids showed off their talents and in 2015 we got the opportunity to take our first team to a national competition for tumbling. In the fall of 2016, our director decided to move the program to its own facility with the help from our generous community. In March of 2017, the program held its first competition in our new facility. With continued growth and expansion, we have been able to add Gymnastics and the NinjaZone programs.
We have 40 kids on our competition team. Ages starting as young as 6 and our oldest is 18. The Team kids attend multiple competitions in Colorado and travel to other States for regional and national competitions.
I started dance and tap when I was 4 years old, then my parents put me in gymnastics at the age of 5. From that moment on I was hooked on competitions. We competed at several meets, but when I was not progressing my parents took a leap of faith and opened the very first privately owned gymnastics school when I was 7 years old. I competed in Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming until age 16.
My coaching career started at my parents’ gym, Platte Valley Gymnastics. From there, I have coached in Harrisburg, Kimball and traveled with kids all over the US. My dedication and ambition to the sport has impacted kids all over Western Nebraska and Wyoming since 1990. In 1997, my daughter followed in my footsteps and won State on uneven bars. I have such a bond with this sport, not only with coaching but learning through the USA Gymnastics program. The accomplishments the kids have made over the years make me extremely proud. The Carpenter Center has and always will have a very big spot in my heart. It’s a fantastic facility and I get to work with so many great kids, providing a program that will stay with the children throughout life, both emotionally and with added physical ability for other sports.

Hi Everyone! My name is Nichole Scott. I'm the Assistant Head Coach at the Carpenter Center Tumbling & Trampoline. I have been with the Carpenter Center as a coach for 5 years and love every minute of it. Ok a little bit about me; my family means everything to me, not just my family at home, but my gym family as well. I am the kind of person who is always on the go. I love being outside hiking, camping and riding horses. My husband, Caleb, and I have been married for 11 years and have two wonderful children. Hayden is the oldest; she competes in power tumbling at the Carpenter Center and also plays volleyball. Weston is all boy; he plays football and loves going hunting. I hope this helps you get to know me a little bit better.

Brandi Brunz is first and foremost a mom to Brooklyn and Jaxon. I began coaching and becoming involved in the tumbling program last year and have quickly come to love all the athletes, coaches, and parents at the gym. Having spent many hours at the gym watching Brooklyn practice and grow and when Bobbie offered an opportunity, I took it and ran. I am eager to learn how to become an effective coach and mentor to the athletes and will be attending a judge’s course in October to better my knowledge of the sport and assist the athletes of our gym. My plan is to assist additional gyms by judging other competitions. My husband and I are police officers in our community and enjoy helping out wherever we can. Outside of work and coaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends outdoors camping or floating at the pool or lake.
