Mr. Don Bava started TaeKwon Do in 1991 and tested for 1st degree Black Belt in 1996. He has been an instructor in the United States TaeKwon Do (TKD) Federation since 1998 and has attended instructor's seminars since 1998. He attended a four day International TaeKwon Do Federation instructor's seminar at the University of Texas in 2006. Don has been an official referee and umpire at international, national and regional level tournament competitions and tested for IV degree Black Belt in 2017. He left Maestas TKD and Colorado in 2020 to come to Scottsbluff and is looking forward to helping people learn an effective and protective self defense martial art.
The Carpenter Center was started in 1996 and is a 501 (c) 3 organization.
The mission of the Corporation is to establish “The Terry and Hazeldeane Carpenter Intergenerational Center as a recreational and educational facility, whose primary service area is Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, and its surrounding communities. The Center offers its programs primarily, but not exclusively, to parent’s children, and elderly who lack the financial resources to access existing educational and recreational opportunities.”
